Pitambar provokes the people of Trimbak to kill Gautam. Mahadev comes to Gautam’s rescue and he, in turn, requests Mahadev to purify the polluted pond. Mahadev advises Gautam to pray to Ganga. Ganga agrees to flow in Trimbak.
