Another Earth is an English independent sci-fi drama film, starring Brit Marling and Willliam Mapother, and directed by Mike Cahill. Rhoda Williams (Marling) is a student who is accepted into MIT. As she celebrates with her friends, a planet similar to Earth is discovered. Distracted by the new planet, Rhoda crashes into John Burroughs’ (Mapother) car, killing his pregnant wife and little son. How did the synchronicity of the planets alter all their lives? Another Earth was named one of the top 10 independent films of 2011.
