Vettaiyan is perplexed to find Sudha collecting the rent and the money, due every month without informing him. Sudha snaps at Vettaiyan and excludes him from her property and its returns. Meenakshi snubs Vettaiyan. Vettaiyan tries to borrow money for buying a gold chain but in vain.
